HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Commercial & Quote Support
- Prepare customer quotations, pricing summaries, and commercial proposals for new business opportunities, engineering changes, and production programs.
- Collect and validate cost information from Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to support quote development.
- Maintain quote logs and ensure all customer submissions are properly documented and approved.
- Track quote status, customer feedback, and award activities.
- Support annual price negotiations and customer cost reduction initiatives.
- Program Commercial Management
- Maintain commercial records for awarded programs including pricing, tooling, piece price adjustments, and program assumptions.
- Track engineering change requests (ECRs) and ensure corresponding commercial impacts are documented and recovered.
- Monitor customer purchase order pricing and ensure alignment with approved commercial agreements.
- Support launch and production program reviews with financial and commercial reporting.
- Customer Accounts Receivable Support
- Monitor customer accounts receivable balances and aging reports.
- Investigate and resolve invoice disputes, pricing discrepancies, debit memos, and payment issues.
- Coordinate with Finance and customer purchasing/accounts payable teams to ensure timely payment collection.
- Track overdue invoices and assist sales leadership with escalation activities.
- Sales Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts, revenue reports, and customer business summaries.
- Analyze sales performance, product mix, pricing trends, and profitability metrics.
- Prepare monthly commercial reviews and customer account scorecards.
- Support budgeting and annual operating plan development.
- Generate ad hoc reports and presentations for management.
- Customer & Internal Commercial Tracking
- Maintain customer pricing databases and commercial documentation.
- Track key customer milestones, open issues, action items, and commercial commitments.
- Support customer portal management including pricing updates, purchase order tracking, and documentation uploads.
- Ensure compliance with internal commercial approval processes and customer requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Managers, Program Managers, Finance, Purchasing, and Engineering teams.
- Support customer meetings with commercial analysis and presentation materials.
- Assist with contract review and maintenance of customer agreements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on commercial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analysis, Commercial Management, Finance, or Automotive Industry support roles.
- Experience with Tier 1 automotive suppliers and OEM customers preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive launch processes, APQP, production programs, and customer pricing practices preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QAD, Plex, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of financial concepts including revenue, margins, tooling recovery, and accounts receivable management.
